Where You Are Isn't Who You Are
As we begin a new month, many of us are experiencing an internal wrestling between the reality of our present limitations and the desire for newness and rejuvenation. After months (ahem, years) of being told to stay inside and isolate from others, it has felt as if our collective flames have been dimmed and we've been forced to have the parts of ourselves that crave novelty take the back seat. Though we may remain hesitant about venturing out into the world, we can explore the spaciousness and aliveness with ourselves--planting seeds for renewal and exploration to harvest when the time feels right.
Each moment brings with it an opportunity for nourishment, if we allow ourselves to seek what it is we need. We can prioritize our safety while also making room for being invigorated and stimulated. Thinking and coloring outside the lines by allowing ourselves to dream big or even giving ourselves room to sit in our anger are acts of self-preservation.
Many of us want to break out of our current confined experience, but feel unsure about how. Facing this challenge comes with identifying how scary it can feel to embrace newness by taking a plunge into the unknown--the fear has kept us safe, but held back.

I Invite you to ask yourself: What has kept me from nourishing myself? From taking in new perspectives and experiences? How does my own bias against things that are unknown impact my expansion? Do I genuinely believe that the protection that my fear is offering me is preserving my soul?
This is an invitation to notice what happens in your body when you imagine tapping into what nourishes you. Leave room for possibility as you allow yourself to entertain what you deeply desire. Create room for what makes you feel alive, even if that means feeling the depths of your grief or screaming on the floor. Follow the urge to laugh, play, cry or yell. To take in what feels wholly delicious to you. To create spaciousness inside of you in order to figure out what you need to take up more space outside of you.
